Rush University Medical Center is a tertiary center with 850 active beds. The vascular and interventional radiology section is staffed by five full-time fellowship trained faculty and one full-time physician assistant. The department is built with a new concept, called “interventional platform,” where all interventional sections are sharing one floor of the building. IR currently utilizes 4 Siemens Angiography units, a C-Arm unit, a dedicated CT scanner and multiple ultrasound scanners for its interventions.
