The pediatric residency program at Rush University provides outstanding training that prepares graduates for successful careers in primary care, hospital medicine or competitive fellowship programs. Residents develop a strong foundation in clinical care and research within a supportive, collegial and academically rigorous environment. Our mid-sized program is large enough to offer diverse clinical experiences while remaining small enough for residents to quickly feel like valued members of the Rush family.

Our X+Y scheduling model provides dedicated inpatient training during X blocks and protected time for electives and continuity clinic during Y blocks.  Residents consistently value this structure for the balance it brings to their training, as well as its positive impact on both education and resident well-being.
