Welcome From the Director

Welcome to the Rush Pathology Residency Website. We are a group of motivated professionals dedicated to providing excellent training in both anatomic and clinical pathology to the next generation of pathologists. We love working with one another and with the greater community at Rush, because it is a collegial environment with high standards and full of expertise.

About The Program

The Department of Pathology at Rush University Medical Center is accredited by the ACGME for up to 16 residency positions, all of which are for combined training in anatomic and clinical pathology.

How To Apply

Applications are accepted via Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). You will need to provide your dean's letter, medical school transcripts, three (3) letters of recommendation, USMLE transcripts, CV and a personal statement. Personal statements must address any gaps in training and employment, as well as any notable features of the applicant's academic or employment record. Candidates must be graduates within the past ten years of approved medical schools and be eligible for licensure to practice medicine in the State of Illinois. Applications should be received by November 15 for appointments beginning July 1 of the next year.
