Community and Social Medicine

The Section of Community and Social Medicine embraces the community-based participatory research model to conduct culturally sensitive interventions in underserved communities with the aim of reducing disparities in health. Preventive Clinical Medicine

The Rush University Prevention Center specializes in integrated treatment of hypertension, lipid disorders, prediabetes/diabetes and obesity. We also offer programs before an elective surgery (orthopedic, general surgery, etc.) to optimize weight, blood pressure, lipid and diabetes control.
