A Master's Degree in Nine Months
Get a master's degree next June as you prepare for a research career, or as you continue training toward an advanced degree. Our grads go on for an MD, PharmD, DDS or PhD, and they work in the pharmaceutical industry and in Medical Center research laboratories.
- The Program: 55 quarter hours over three quarters. Begin in September, graduate in June. Total tuition for '09-'10 is $25,481.
- The Core Science Curriculum: Courses covering principles of molecular genetics, cell biology, and system physiology and pharmacology, along with additional courses, designed specifically to prepare students for a career in the laboratory.
- The Laboratory Training Curriculum: Hands-on courses ensure proficiency in a wide variety of techniques making the student highly competitive for employment in this ever expanding and understaffed job market.

Program Description
Rush University Graduate College offers a nine-month, non-thesis master's degree program designed to prepare the student for a research career in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, or in the university laboratory. This program is also an excellent preparation for additional graduate-level training toward the PhD, MD and other advanced degrees. Admission to the Biotechnology Program
New admissions are offered for the fall quarter only. Applications will be received until the class is filled. Only applicants who plan a full-time enrollment will be accepted into this program. The Graduate College feels that a qualified and dedicated student can complete the requirements of this curriculum within the three quarter academic plan.
