Rush Achieves Full Accreditation of Human Research Protection Program With Distinction in Community Programs The Association for the Accreditation of Human Research Protection Programs, Inc® (AAHRPP) awarded Rush full accreditation with distinction in Community Programs on June 7, 2012. This accreditation validates all of the important human subject research that is done by the Rush research community. Conducting Research at Rush Mission Research at Rush is dedicated to the pursuit of outstanding biomedical research to advance knowledge and optimize patient care. Rush is committed to fostering centers of excellence that combine clinical, basic and population science to study areas of importance to the community. Several programs have been created to support and encourage Rush investigators involved in more than 1,600 research studies, including trials of new medical and surgical therapies. This site includes information for prospective research participants, for research sponsors and for investigators, including links to many online resources. The office is under the direction of James L. Mulshine, MD, vice president and associate provost.


Participating in Research at Rush As an academic medical center, Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois, is committed to advancing medical knowledge through research. Investigators at Rush are involved in more than 1,600 projects, including hundreds of clinical studies to test the effectiveness and safety of new therapies and medical devices, as well as to expand scientific and medical knowledge.
