Welcome from the Dean
Welcome to the College of Health Sciences at Rush University. The College offers outstanding educational programs for the preparation of allied health and health care management professionals. There are over 200 different allied health fields and allied health workers constitute nearly 60 percent of the health care workforce in the United States. Because of advances in treatment and technology, population growth and the aging of the population, the demand for allied health professionals is expected to increase significantly.

In addition, the college seeks to make meaningful contributions in advancing health care through excellence in research, scholarship, and service. In keeping with the Rush University practitioner-teacher model, the college integrates patient care, research, scholarship and service into the teaching-learning process of developing future allied health professionals and leaders.
