Position Description:
Rush University Medical Center, located in downtown Chicago, is a national leader in academic medicine. The Section of Allergy and Immunology currently seeks a full-time specialist at the instructor/assistant professor level for its growing patient population. Ideal candidates will be BE/BC in pediatrics or internal medicine-pediatrics with a strong patient care emphasis, interest in clinical research, clinical immunology and teaching.
The Section of Allergy and Immunology includes an accredited allergy/immunology fellowship training program, with five fellows-in-training, that is based at Rush University Medical Center and combined with the Stroger Hospital of Cook County. The successful candidate for this position will have staff appointments and care for patients at both of these institutions.
This position includes direct patient care in both the inpatient and outpatient settings, teaching of residents and fellows and clinical research. The qualified candidate will be expected to provide state-of-the-art evaluations and treatment for patients suffering from: Anaphylaxis, asthma, allergic rhinitis, urticaria, food allergies, drug allergy, immunodeficiency diseases and other autoimmune disorders.
