Teresa grew up in Cleveland, Ohio. She attended Cornell University where she received her bachelor?s degree in Environmental Engineering and a Master?s degree. She then moved to Chad, Africa for the next two years where she worked in community development and as a Water Resource Engineer. Upon returning to the US, she decided to pursue a career in medicine.
