My primary research interest is aimed at developing, testing, and optimizing non-pharmacological interventions for insomnia and other sleep disorders.
Current research projects funded by the National Institutes of Health include the development and testing of a mindfulness-based intervention for insomnia (K23) and a clinical trial testing a multidisciplinary approach to treating obstructive sleep apnea and comorbid insomnia (R01).
My broader research interests include interventions to reduce metabolic syndrome and sleep disturbances in chronic pain conditions.
