Shital Shah, PhD, is an assistant professor in the Department of Health Systems Management. He is a doctorally prepared industrial engineer with experience in hospital operational process improvements, simulation modeling, informatics and health care data mining. He has worked on projects in the emergency department, ambulatory surgery unit, bed management in hematology and oncology units and hospital transportation. He has a number of peer reviewed journal publications, book chapters and conference presentations.
