About Rush University

Prospective fellows (except for research-based fellowship/observership) will be asked to register for the match at the SFMatch website and read about the process for applying for Ophthalmology Fellowship training. Once registered, you can view our program listing on the SFMatch directory Web site for all required documents, including the application. Please be sure to check "View Profile" in our program listing for information on additional requirements.

The selection process is based on academic achievement, a demonstrated interest in academic endeavors and the reference letters. Applications will be screened by program faculty, who will personally interview the candidates. Approximately 15 candidates per year will be notified to come for an interview held in the early fall.

The rank list is submitted to the San Francisco Matching Program. Candidates will likewise submit a rank list of their desired fellowship programs. The final match will occur on the date determined by the San Francisco Matching Program.

The application deadline is August 26, 2011.
