Rush is a large university medical center affiliated with Rush Medical Center, located just west of downtown Chicago. The neuroradiology fellowship program at Rush University Medical Center in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine, is a single-institution, ACGME-approved, one- or two-year clinical training program primarily encompassing two areas. Of primary importance is knowledge of performance and interpretation of imaging including computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, PET imaging and plain radiographs. Next, of equal import, is skill in performance and interpretation of invasive procedures including angiography, myelography and image-guided biopsies related to brain, spine, and head and neck pathology in adults and children. Clinical training is enhanced by daily patient care and teaching conferences, didactic lectures and multi-disciplinary conferences. The fellows fully participate in the clinical, teaching and research activities of the neuroradiology section.
