Curriculum and Goals

The vascular neurology fellowship at Rush University Medical Center is a one-year ACGME-approved fellowship program with the academic year from July 1 through June 30 each year. We accept two vascular neurology fellows per year.
This one-year ACGME Vascular Neurology fellowship will include a comprehensive experience in stroke care. Fellows in the program spend twenty-four weeks in the acute stroke service and eight weeks in the neuroICU service (home-call responsibilities). The remainder of the year is spent on electives in neurosonology, neuroradiology, stroke rehabilitation, neuro-endovascular surgery, and research.
Graduates of this fellowship will be eligible to sit for the ABPN vascular neurology boards.
