Body Imaging and Musculoskeletal Radiology Fellowship

The body imaging and musculoskeletal radiology fellowship is a one-year program providing the finest subspecialty training in body MRI, musculoskeletal MRI/CT and ultrasound.

Rotations at Rush University Medical Center, a Rush outpatient center, and Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush provide rich and varied clinical experiences. You'll spend eight months in magnetic resonance imaging (body/MSK) and two months in ultrasound.

As a busy referral center drawing patients from all areas of the city, state and region, Rush attracts a highly diverse patient population, enhancing study opportunities for fellows.

How to apply

We fill four fellowship positions each year. Applicants must have a valid medical license in Illinois, must have completed a residency in diagnostic radiology, and must be board-certified or board-eligible in diagnostic radiology.

International medical graduates must have completed a residency in diagnostic radiology in their country of origin and have a valid, current radiology board certification from their country of origin. These candidates must be eligible to obtain a license to practice medicine in Illinois and must have a valid Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates certification requiring clearance of U.S. Medical Licensing Examination steps 1, 2 and 3.

Applicants should complete the Rush fellowship application form. Please also include the following:

  • Three letters of recommendation from professional sources
  • Letter of recommendation from the director of your most recent training program
