Interview & Selection Process
Our residency program attracts applicants from around the world. Graduates of LCME-accredited allopathic, osteopathic and international medical schools must apply through ERAS (Electronic Residency Application Service). Applications are screened with attention to performance during the pre-clinical and clinical years, USMLE 1 exam scores, USMLE 2 exam scores when available, MSPE and letters of recommendation. Our screening process does not discriminate based upon gender, sexual orientation, age, race, religion, ethnic origin, economic status, veteran status or place of residence. Hard copies of residency applications are not accepted.
Invitations are extended to qualified applicants by email. Interviews are conducted from November through January. Applicants are interviewed by three faculty members, attend an informal meeting in which they hear from many members of our faculty and have lunch and a tour with our residents. Applicants also attend either a psychodynamic case conference or a multidisciplinary case conference in which a psychopharmacology cognitive behavioral therapy and psychodynamic faculty member all discuss a recent outpatient presented by one of our residents.
Thank you for your interest in our program. Please feel to contact us with any questions 312-942-2099.
