About Rush University

The next opening in our dermatology residency program will be for two PGY-2 residents beginning July 1, 2016. We train a total of six residents annually. We participate in the NRMP Match which will take place in March 2014 for both the 2014 preliminary programs as well as the 2015 dermatology programs.

Per the American Board of Dermatology (ABD), some basic requirements for the Dermatology residency program include satisfactory completion of the (PGY-1) level transitional year, limited to Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Family Practice, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics, or Emergency Medicine, at an accredited U.S. (or Canadian) medical school, approved by the Board, plus a valid, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the U.S.

The application process is facilitated on the ERAS website. Contact your local deans office for processing instructions and for an ERAS electronic token to access MyEras on the internet. The ERAS timetable is as follows:

 

MyEras website opens to applicants to begin working on their applications July 1, 2014
Applicants may begin applying to ACGME accredited programs September 1, 2014
2014 Application period closes November 1, 2014

Following the evaluation of completed applications, selected candidates will be invited for interviews which will take place in November and December in 2014, exact date to be announced.
