The Department of Immunology/Microbiology has a graduate program that offers training in immunology, virology, molecular biology and molecular genetics towards the PhD degree from Rush University. Our patient care program focuses on allergy and clinical immunology. The department also runs other educational programs in the medical and graduate colleges. Moreover, we have collaborative programs with other departments and programs at Rush and with other universities.
In addition to offering the graduate program and conducting active research programs, the department teaches immunology and microbiology to medical students, offers an allergy/immunology fellowship program, and maintains a close affiliation with the hospital's clinical immunology and microbiology laboratory. Read the department's program overview in the Rush University catalog.
