The opportunities and challenges facing the 21st century health care industry have attracted an exceptional group of high-level industry executives to form the National Center for Healthcare Leadership (NCHL)'s Board and Advisory Councils, representing all health care sectors including providers, suppliers, insurers, academics, professional organizations and policy makers. These leaders, from all aspects of health care, recognize NCHL's enormous potential to meet the industry's challenges through improved management and leadership capable of achieving successful delivery and financing of health care serivces that are safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient and equitable. As a NCHL demonstration site, the HSM program's integrated and competency-based model fosters both the content and skill development necessary to produce the future health care leaders envisioned by NCHL.
