The more than 1,400 students currently on the Rush University campus enjoy a variety of extracurricular activities. Organized programs sponsored by the Office of Student Affairs include university nights at local cultural events, on-campus entertainment and social gatherings.
Rush students have the opportunity to utilize several facilities in the area for recreation and physical conditioning. Aerobic classes are offered on campus through the Department of Employee Wellness. Physical education facilities are available to Rush University students at the University of Illinois at Chicago, located approximately three blocks from the Medical Center. Fee structure and further information are available from the Office of Student Life.
Rush Occupational Therapy students have a full life. In addition to time spent on academics and in fieldwork, students have a great deal of time for friends, fun and even service to the community.
Chicago and its adjoining suburbs, as well as the university, provide a wide variety of off-campus housing options. See the Student Housing Guide for more information.
Students who drive may purchase parking privileges in the main or auxiliary parking facilities. Rush is accessible by CTA bus or elevated train. Shuttle bus service is available for purchase at either Northwestern or Union Station.
