About Rush University

Rush University orientation is a one-day program designed to help students learn about important services provided by university offices. Note that your college and/or program may be holding additional orientation days. Your attendance is mandatory at both the university orientation as well as your college and/or program orientation.*

Orientation Location: Armour Academic Center (AAC), 600 S. Paulina Street
Registration: 8-8:30 a.m. (program begins promptly after registration)
End Time: Approximately 2 p.m.
Other Informaton: Light breakfast and lunch will be provided

University orientation begins with a welcome from university leadership followed by an introduction to many of the services and departments with which you will interact during your time at Rush. In the afternoon, you will participate in an orientation fair where you will have the opportunity to visit with various offices and complete tasks such as registering for a parking pass, getting additional information on student health insurance, and taking a campus tour. The attire for the day is informal, so please dress comfortably.

Please review the new student information webpage for critical information and action items, including documents that you must complete before the start of classes.

*Note: Rush Medical College and the College of Nursing's DNP program organize separate orientation events to introduce their students to university services. Therefore, students in these programs do not participate in the aforementioned university orientation.
