This core is facilitated by Tom Wilson, MBA. This core facility is housed in 1600 sq. ft. on the ninth floor of the Jelke Building.
The facility is being utilized by translational research investigators to store specimens received from subjects enrolled on studies on lung cancer, breast cancer, Alzheimer's disease, and aging. The facility currently accommodates 25 refrigerators and freezers, and is being renovated to house a maximum of 75 refrigerators and freezers. The renovated facility will have enhanced cooling capacity, a computerized central temperature monitor/alarm system and bench space for processing and shipping specimens.
