Q: How do I get my research announcement/recruiting advertisement approved for posting?

A: Obtaining approval of your research ad requires two distinct steps:

  1. Any advertisement that uses any Rush University Medical Center logo or the Rush name must be submitted to and approved by the Department of Marketing and Communications (Marketing) PRIOR to submission to the Institutional Review Board (IRB);
  2. Once the marketing requirements are satisfied, it may be submitted through the Rush Research Portal (RRP) to the IRB.

The investigator or designee:

  • contacts Marketing for their requirements and approval; and
  • provides documentation of Marketing review and approval to the IRB
