| JoAnn O'Reilly, Ph.D. (Cand), Assistant Professor, is the Acting Chair of the Department of Religion, Health and Human Values and the Director of Clinical Pastoral Education. She is a certified supervisor with the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education an organization in which she has held many leadership positions. She holds graduate degrees from The University of Michigan and Union Theological Seminary in Minnesota . She teaches courses in spirit/mind/body and lectures on death and dying. Her scholarly focus is on suffering and its interface with narrative, the relationship of spirit/mind/body, pastoral theology, and the creation of rituals of response to situations of suffering, loss, dying and death. She has presented her work on The Hospital Prayer Request Book: Partner in Healing at major conferences and is the author of several articles on the role of narratives in healthcare and spiritual caregiving. JoAnn O'Reilly is a Roman Catholic. | |
