Each student receives an identification card at matriculation. Rush students are required to wear their ID card in an easily visible location while on campus. For reasons of security, employees or students not wearing valid identification could be asked to leave the University/Medical Center facilities. A valid ID card is needed to use the library, labs, bookstore, and for admission to some school events.

ACCESS WITH ID CARDS

Access to the McCormick Educational Technology Center (Open 24 hours a day, seven days a week) requires students, faculty, and staff to swipe their cards through a reader by the main entrance. Also, after hours access to the Student Lounge (back entrance) is available to students.

PRINTER CHARGES

Students also use the card to use METC printers by purchasing a set amount, turning it into a debit card. Copies are 10 cents a page.

REPLACEMENT CARDS

A valid ID card is needed to use the library, labs, bookstore, and for admission to some school events. Lost or stolen identification cards should be reported as soon as possible. A replacement ID can be obtained from the Office of the Registrar (440 Armour Academic Center) from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. daily. There is a $10 fee for this service. However, if the ID was stolen there will be no replacement fee charged if the student presents documentation that a police report was filed.

Indentification cards are only valid while students are enrolled. ID cards are immediately deactivated when a student withdraws, is dismissed, or graduates from Rush University. The student is asked to return the ID to the Office of the Registrar when (s)he leaves the University.
