Classroom Teaching Activities in the Department of Preventive Medicine
Although many would correctly argue that the Department of Preventive Medicine’s educational activities extend well beyond what is taught (and learned) in classrooms, the faculty of the department are heavily involved in curriculum development and execution in two major degree-granting programs at Rush University.
Rush Medical College
Although the new curriculum beginning in August, 2008 may change the scope and process of what we currently do, the Department of Preventive Medicine has traditionally taught three courses in the medical school curriculum that leads to the MD degree: Course offerings.
The Graduate College of Rush University
The faculty of the Department of Preventive Medicine have traditionally served both as organizers (principal investigator and co-principal Investigators for the original K-30 grant award from the National Institutes of Health from 1999-2004) and teachers in the curriculum that leads to the degree of master of science in clinical research. The coursework involved for this currently consists of: Course offerings.
Department of Medicine’s Research Mentoring Program
