ANNOUNCING FOUR FULL SCHOLARSHIPS NOW AVAILABLE IN GERONTOLOGICAL NURSING

(1 Nurse Practitioner, 1 Clinical Specialist, and 2 Post-Master’s Certification)

 

Scholarship Criteria:

  1. Willingness to commit to a nursing career focused on the care of older adults.
  2. Full time study (minimum 9 credit hours per quarter)
  3. U.S. citizen who will practice in the U.S.
  4. Obtain a national certification as a gerontological nurse practitioner or clinical specialist on completion of the program
  5. Attend one scientific meeting of the Gerontological Society of America.
  6. Communicate with other scholarship recipients, the nursing community, and leaders in gerontological nursing.
  7. The clinical specialist scholarships (only) require a service commitment at Rush of one year if a Rush employee or 2 years if applying outside of Rush.

Application process:

  1. Complete an Application for Admission to the Graduate Nursing Program. Applications available at www.rushu.rush.edu or Rush University, Suite 440, 600 S. Paulina, Chicago. (See the web site for due dates)
  2. Complete an interview with one of the coordinators of the Gerontological Nursing Graduate Program.
  3. For the clinical specialist scholarship an additional interview is required with a unit director.
