FOUR FULL SCHOLARSHIPS NOW AVAILABLE IN GERONTOLOGICAL NURSING
(2 Clinical Specialist and 2 Post-Master's Certification)
Scholarship Criteria:
- Willingness to commit
to a nursing career focused on the care of older adults.
- Full time study (minimum
9 credit hours per quarter)
- U.S. citizen who will
practice in the U.S.
- Obtain a national certification
as a gerontological nurse practitioner or clinical specialist on completion
of the program
- Attend one scientific
meeting of the Gerontological Society of America.
- Communicate with other
scholarship recipients, the nursing community, and leaders in gerontological
nursing.
- The clinical specialist
scholarships require a service commitment at Rush of one year if a Rush employee
or 2 years if applying outside of Rush.
Application
process:
- Complete an Application
for Admission to the Graduate Nursing Program (due dates 11/1/02, 1/15/03,
4/15/03) Applications available at www.rushu.rush.edu or Rush University,
Suite 440, 600 S. Paulina, Chicago.
- Complete an interview
with one of the coordinators of the Gerontological Nursing Graduate Program.
- For the clinical specialist
scholarship an additional interview is required with a unit director.
