Brief Background

Patrick Downie, DC is serving as the Assistant Director of the CAM Education Program. He has specialty training in orthopedics, physical rehabilitation, and acupuncture. Dr. Downie is currently working in private practice and was the former medical director of an integrative care clinic in Chicago that provided complementary and alternative medical care to the general population. He has experience in developing clinical rotations, supervising interns, and designing, developing, and implementing educational programs. He also has significant lecturing experience. Dr. Downie's association with the CAM community is instrumental for the development of observational opportunities for faculty and students, and the establishment of new linkages with Chicagoland CAM practitioners and educational programs.
