How do I access my email?

You access your new email account on the web only at http://notesmail.rush.edu

Your username is your full name. For example, if your name is John Doe, your username at notesmail.rush.edu is "John Doe" (do not type the quotation marks). The username is not case sensitive.

Your initial password is your student ID number . Your student ID number can be found on your Student Data Sheet.

You should change your password immediately.  

 What if I forget my password?

If you forget your password, you will need to call the Information Services Help Desk at 312-942-HELP (2-HELP). The Help Desk can reset your password over the phone.

 What Web Browser should I use?

The preferred web browser for Lotus iNotes is Internet Explorer 5.5 with service pack 2 and above. Lotus iNotes is not compatible with Netscape Navigator. If you use Netscape, you will be automatically redirected to the Lotus Domino email system. The Domino system does not have the same functionality as the Lotus iNotes system. You will also be automatically redirected to Lotus Domino if you use a browser below Internet Explorer 5.0 or use a Macintosh computer.

Lotus iNotes and Lotus Domino do not support America Online browsers or any other Internet Service Provider that has given you a web browser. Please use only Internet Explorer for Lotus iNotes or Netscape Navigator for Lotus Domino .

You will need to open Internet Explorer and make sure that your connection to the Internet is not hampered or limited by your Internet Service Provider settings. If you have questions about this issue, call the Information Services Help Desk at 312.942.HELP.

How do I change my password in iNotes?

• Go to Preferences from the main iNotes screen (it's in the upper right corner of the screen)
• From there you will get a list of options on your left. Choose Security.
• The only option under Security is to change your password. Click on the button and follow the directions.
