Research Center

Rush Center for Health Management and Policy Research

The Rush Center for Health Management and Policy Research facilitates the strategic use of the research talents of HSM and university faculty and their collaborators to examine current health care management and policy-related issues that are important to Rush University Medical Center, as well as the local, national and international health care communities. The Center capitalizes on Rush’s unique structure to focus on work that translates research into practice and practice into research.

The Center is staffed by HSM faculty in collaboration with faculty across Rush University who have a breadth of interdisciplinary experience in health care management, from both applied and theoretical perspectives. The Center collaborates closely with faculty from other disciplines throughout Rush University Medical Center to identify and investigate topics of greatest interest to the health care community. The Center facilitates the identification and promotion of student training and research opportunities, and specifically utilizes students deployed through the HSM talent management group as an internal applied research consulting group.
