Scholarships for Occupational Therapy National AMBUCS, Inc (Scholarship for Therapists) Scholarships are awarded to students pursing careers in one of the following therapy disciplines physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology or audiology. Scholarships for Audiology/Speech Pathology Easter Seals Scholarship Scholarships are available to those in a Master's level-Speech Language Pathology program, in their final year, have good academic standing and must agree to work at Easter Seals as an employee upon graduation for one year and complete the clinical fellowship year at Easter Seals. During the clinical fellowship the recipient will be working with young children in the rehabilitation and school settings. CFY supervision is available. Student can only receive this award one-year in the amount of $3000. Community Hospital of Ottawa Foundation This scholarship is for students who are accepted into, or currently enrolled in a hospital-related health care curriculum. Applicant must be a resident of Community Hospital of Ottawa's (CHO) service area, have a GPA of 3.0 or above and must consider working in the CHO service area following completion of degree. Illinois Hospital Association Scholarship Program This scholarship is for $1000 for Illinois residents enrolled in a hospital-related health care professional curriculum in an accredited institution. Applicants must have at least one academic year left, have at least a 3.5 GPA out of 4 points, and must demonstrate financial need. Illinois Sheriff's Association Scholarship Program The Illinois Sheriff's Association will be awarding scholarships throughout the State of Illinois to students wishing to pursue higher education. The student must be enrolled full-time at a certified institution of higher learning within the State of Illinois . LaPorte Hospital Foundation & Health Services Critical Occupation Award Scholarships are awarded to students pursuing careers in occupations that have been deemed as critical shortage areas at the hospital. These areas currently are Diagnostic Imaging Technologist, Nursing, B.S. degree, Registered Pharmacist. Students must be in their final year of training. The award amount equals the annual tuition cost. This award requires recipient to join La Porte Hospital & Health Services staff upon graduation and remain a full-time employee for a minimum of two calendar years. American Association of University Women Downers Grove Branch – Applicants must be a female resident of Downers Grove, Darien , Lisle, Westmont, or Woodridge , Illinois . This fund provides awards of $2000 per year. Applicant must be a mature woman who has returned to higher education after a five-year absence and is enrolled full-time. The applicant must be within two years of completion of Bachelor or Graduate Degree. American Indian Graduate Center Award These fellowships are for Native American Indians who plan to enroll in or who are engaged in graduate or professional study. To be considered for a scholarship, a person must be one-quarter or more of Indian blood from a federally recognized tribe, must have demonstrated the ability to pursue graduate study and must need financial assistance after all other sources of funding have been explored. Awards range from $250 to $10000 for the nine-month academic program. Awards are based on each applicant's unmet financial need as verified by the applicant's college financial aid office. Knights of Dabrowski--Crusade for Education Students of Polish descent in need of financial aid can apply to the Knights of Dabrowski's Crusade for Education program for help. Congressional Black Caucus Scholarship The student must be full-time and a minority undergraduate student in good standing. The student must reside in a Congressional District represented by an African American Member of Congress. This scholarship is given yearly. General Nonspecific Scholarships Carpe Diem Foundation of Illinois Carpe Diem is committed to helping students who have demonstrated outstanding achievements, exceptional leadership ability and a serious commitment to community service. Scholarship awards range from annual awards of $5,000 to $10,000 for undergraduate studies at accredited educational institutions. Applicants must be a high school senior or an undergraduate college student no later than the completion of their junior year. Recipients are expected to maintain a "B" average and actively participate in the academic and social life of their community.
