Financial Aid Checklist
(the Application process)
Applying for financial aid can be a confusing and potentially time-consuming process. We understand that, and while we strongly suggest that you take the time to learn more about the financial aid process, the following will provide a nuts-and-bolts checklist of the basic steps of obtaining aid.
- Complete your FAFSA
(NOTE: if you filed, have your Federal tax returns handy)
Students can complete the FAFSA online, or print a .pdf version and mail it to the US Dept. of Ed. by clicking here.
(Rush's school code is 009800)
- Complete your Institutional Application for Financial Aid
2011-12 version, click here.
2012-13 version, click here.
- Parent Data Requirement
INCOMING APPLICANTS, please read Rush University policy here
RETURNING STUDENTS, if you provided parent data for the previous academic year, submission of parent data on the FAFSA and Institutional Application is not required*.
*Undergraduate students who are required to submit parent data when completing the FAFSA must always provide parent data on their Institutional Application.
One more thing to keep in mind
Our office will email you (at your Rush email account [if you have one] or at the address supplied on your application for admission [if you don't have a Rush account]) if anything else is required.
After your application is processed, you will receive an email from our office telling you what your next steps are.
Thank you for taking the time to submit your application materials! Our office is happy to help with any clarification if necessary. Contact information can be found at the bottom of this page.
