Financial Aid Checklist
(the Application process)
Securing your financial aid can be a confusing and potentially time-consuming process. We understand that, and while we strongly suggest that you take the time to learn more about the financial aid process, the following will provide a nuts-and-bolts checklist of the basic steps of obtaining aid.
- Complete your FAFSA (NOTE: if you filed, have your Federal tax returns handy)
For the on-line option, click here
For the paper version, please call 800.4.FED.AID and request a copy.
(Rush's school code is 009800)
- Complete your Institutional Application for Financial Aid
2007-08 version, click here.
2008-09 version, click here.
- Parent Data Requirement
INCOMING APPLICANTS, please read Rush University policy here
RETURNING STUDENTS, if you provided parent data for the previous academic year, submission of parent data on the FAFSA and Institutional Application is not required*.
*Undergraduate students who are required to submit parent data when completing the FAFSA must always provide parent data on their Institutional Application.
One more thing to keep in mind
Once our office has received the above information, the first phase is done. In many cases that is all that is required. In some instances, however, more information is needed. You will be notified, likely by e-mail, if in your case more information is necessary. If additional information is needed you will be contacted using your admissions email or the email address submitted on the FAFSA.
Thank you for taking the time to submit your application materials! Our office is happy to help with any clarification if necessary. Contact information can be found at the bottom of this page.
