Cochlear Implant Patients wanted for a Music Perception Study
at Rush University Medical Center

Cochlear implant patients are wanted to take part in a study investigating the perception of musical sounds. Participants will listen to different musical sounds including different musical instruments, different musical styles, and different musical melodies. Participants will also be asked to listen to some speech and pitches. In this study, participants will be tested in two sessions, with the second session approximately 2 weeks later than the first. This project is designed to provide information that will be used to further understand how cochlear implant patients perceive musical sounds.

Participants will receive a financial compensation of $20.00 per session and free parking*.

(*Participants who take public transportation will be provided with the monetary equivalent to the parking pass.)

If interested, call (312) 942-3316, or e-mail min-yu_cheng@rush.edu.
