Identification Card

Each student is eligible to receive an identification card (ID) at matriculation. When on campus students are required to wear their ID card in an easily visible location. For reasons of security, employees or students not wearing valid identification could be asked to leave the University/Medical Center facilities and related clinical sites. A valid ID card is needed to access and use the library, laboratory, bookstore, student lounge, and for admission to some school events. Lost or stolen identification cards should be reported as soon as possible. A replacement ID can be obtained from the Office of the Registrar (440 Armour Academic Center) from 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. daily. There is a $10 fee for this service. However, if the ID was damaged or stolen there will be no replacement fee charged if the student presents either the damaged ID card or documentation that a police report was filed. A student who, on occasion, forgets his/her ID should report to the Office of the Registrar and the student will be issued a one-day temporary student ID.

The identification card is only valid while the student is enrolled and is immediately deactivated when a student withdraws, is dismissed, or graduates from Rush University. Any alteration of the student identification card is grounds for dismissal from Rush University. The card is the property of Rush University and students are required to return the card to the Office of the Registrar at the time they graduate, withdraw or otherwise permanently leave the University.
