Grade Point Average (GPA)

The student's transcript shows a grade point average (GPA) for each quarter in which grade points were earned and shows a cumulative GPA for all work taken at Rush. The GPA is computed by dividing the number of earned grade points by the number of quarter hours of credit attempted for those courses. When a course is repeated only the second grade is computed in the GPA. No grade points are assigned for work taken on a pass/no pass or audit basis and, therefore, are not computed in the grade point average. A grade point average is not calculated for students in Rush Medical College since all courses are taken on an honors/high pass/pass/fail system.
